The fire started around 250 Albany St. near Gasoline Alley. Fire crews were able to douse the blaze, but photos from the aftermath show how hot the flames got. Only the metal was left on one of the vehicles.
The cars belonged to Makari Mack, a young head barista at Monsoon Roastery, and Jack Wysocki, owner of Urban Artisan Farm, according to a GoFundMe.
This is a very stressful time for both Jack and Makari! Jack is in the middle of a very costly build out that has been two years in the making. Makari is a young 20-something just starting her career.Losing your only vehicle is hard enough but during our current post-pandemic climate when vehicles are way more expensive than they have ever been, our friends could use a little love.
The campaign has raised more than $4,000 of its $10,000 goal by Thursday afternoon. Organizers hope to give Jack and Makari $5,000 each.
